Karen Butler-Cook

Karen Butler-Cook, M.A.

Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor

Karen Butler-Cook is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the State of Illinois. Karen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana and a Master's Degree in counseling psychology from Governors State University. She has years of experience working with adults, adolescents, children and families. She has worked in a variety of settings, including community mental health agencies, inpatient and outpatient hospitals and private practice. Karen has experience providing psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families coping with behavioral health issues. She has a calming interpersonal style that allows individuals to feel comfortable while working through life’s difficulties, concerns, and mental health issues.

Ron Czub

Ron Czub, M.A.

Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor

Ron Czub is a licensed clinical professional counselor and a part time professor, who holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Indiana University. He conducts individual, couples and family therapy to people of all ages. Ron strives to provide professional and individualized assessment and interventions to meet your unique needs. He has a relaxed interpersonal style, where building an empathetic and deeply compassionate therapeutic relationship, works in conjunction with a touch of humor in his clinical work.

Amanda Cichanowski

Amanda Cichanowski, M.A, LPC

Counselor

Amanda Cichanowski has her Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. She also holds a B.A. in both Special and Elementary Education. Amanda has served as a Learning Behavior Specialist for the past 10 years. She specializes in children, adolescents, families all from a variety of demographic and cultural backgrounds. Amanda’s approach to counseling is from the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy technique. She has taken on different roles that include but are not limited to therapy, teaching, tutoring, and advocating for families with children who require additional support. Amanda’s passion is to help others. Her compassion for her clients is evident in the way she presents herself. She is an advocate; and advocate who believes in the successes possible for each unique individual.

Kristina Labriola

Kristina Labriola, M.A., L.C.S.W.

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Kristina is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master's degree in social work from The University of St. Francis. She holds Bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Criminal Social Justice. Kristina is an advocate for maternal mental health and helping parents and families thrive. She empowers clients to develop short term and long term goals that can be integrated into their daily lives in order to make life less stressful. Kristina has experience working in a wide range of settings, including residential care, education, and community services. She has expertise in school refusal and school related anxiety. Kristina believes that genuine and empathetic listening is one of the most important parts about the therapeutic process and that every individual has the right to feel seen and heard. It is a privilege for Kristina to be part of the healing journey for each individual.

Max Cook

Max is a pre-licensed counselor with a Master's Degree in Sports Psychology. He specializes in adolescents and young adults dealing with depression and anxiety and clients struggling with life skills such as healthy routines and habits. Being recently retired from professional hockey, he can relate to issues of transition and adversities that effect clients and athletes. He has the desire and passion to help the next generation master the mental side of game and life. The skills and techniques he creates helps his clients achieve their highest goals.

I have experience in treating individuals with trauma, mood disorders, personality disorders, anxiety disorders, relationship issues, post-traumatic stress, stress management, grief, low-self esteem, women’s issues, spiritual issues, and major life transitions. My therapeutic approach is rooted in empathy, authenticity, and collaboration. I believe that each person has their own story and set of circumstances that shape their experiences. By creating a safe and non-judgmental environment, I aim to foster trust and open communication, allowing you to freely express yourself and explore your thoughts and feelings. My goal is to help you enhance your ability to cope, to help you recognize your strengths and empower you and to give you the space to feel safe and validated.
